Body hair, it's a part of life, but for some of us, it's a constant chore to remove it from unwanted. Shaving, waxing, laser hair removal, and electrolysis are some of the methods you may be familiar with, but have you heard of sugaring? This ancient method of hair removal has been used for centuries and is making a comeback as a modern, preferred alternative to traditional waxing. Here's what you need to know about sugaring, its benefits, and why it's a great choice for anyone looking to achieve smooth, silky skin.
What is Sugaring?
Sugaring is a natural hair removal technique that uses a paste made from sugar, lemon, and water. Unlike waxing, which is often made with synthetic ingredients and harsh chemicals, sugaring is completely natural and gentle on the skin. The sugar paste is applied to the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth and then removed in the same direction of growth, effectively pulling hair out at the root. Whereas waxing is applied in the same direction of hair growth and removed against the direction of natural growth. This causes more hair to break in the removal process, not being fully removed at the root - which may cause more ingrown hairs and quicker hair growback.
